FILM COMPOSER / MUSIC PRODUCER / TEACHER
From his hometown of Wichita, Kansas, Justin pours himself into a shimmering ocean of sound. Whether he is composing a cue for a fantasy film, writing songs for his project Reverse Coast, or celebrating the success of one of his music students, he always brings his full attention - with an eye for the whimsical.
After earning his B.A. in Music at Friends University, Justin received his Masters of Music in Film Score Composition at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle, WA. He has since written music for TV movies such as Christmas In Scotland (2023) and Just Breathe (2025).
Justin also serves as Sound Director for an organization called Wichita Creative Co, which offers summer film camps for highschool students interested in gaining real life experience making films using professional equipment and resources.
Selected Works
Recorded in August of 2022 with a 52 piece orchestra at the Bastyr University Chapel in Kenmore, Washington. I composed, orchestrated, and conducted for the recording.
I wrote, recorded, and co-produced these two songs over the course of many months and places in 2024. This single appears third on Strange Currency's Best Local/Regional Music of 2024.
Improvised in one take, recorded, mixed and mastered by myself on my upright piano on a rainy evening in the summer of 2025, using a mid / side setup and a big reverb.

Selections from the score I wrote for Bird Girl, a local short film produced by Wichita Creative Co in the summer of 2025. The film debuted at the Old Town Boulevard Theater to sold out crowd.
